I did not complete these degrees but learnt a lot to do with time management and working under timeline pressures. I participated in 2 degrees while attending Victoria University.
Starting with a Bachelor in Commerce with majors in Marketing and Information systems. After completing the first semester of this degree that I wanted to focus on more development.
Moving onto a Bachelor in Computer Science, I found that I enjoyed the development environment a lot more enjoyable. I decided though that there wasn’t enough hands-on learning and I figured that there could be a better education opportunity awaiting me.

I have completed 2 years of study at Yoobee Colleges in Wellington New Zealand.
I began with completing a level 5 Diploma in Web and Graphic design which helped me with some fundamental principals of graphic and UX design. This has helped me to look for user needs and brand identity while also extending my design abilities.
I have now completed my level 6 diploma which has allowed me to have more practical skills. It has also combined with expanding my knowledge of User Experience design. This has allowed me to identify problems in a current application and create practical solutions. It has also given me the ability to create a full-stack website to serve a client’s need from prototyping to end product.

Serving my fencing club and the wider fencing community has been a very critical life lesson in responsibility, people skills, discipline and desire for improvement.
I have been fencing for most of my life (2006 – present). For me, it has become so much more than a sport and more of an identity. I have been involved with coaching, refereeing and administration for around 9 years.
I currently coach, referee, manage our club’s communication channels and maintain the Hutt Valley Fencing Club website. On top of these responsibilities, I try to find as much piste (sparing) time as possible. If you want to learn more about fencing do not hesitate in getting in contact with me about it.
